There are two fully furnished lounges with kitchen facilities and entertainment on each level, as well as shared bathrooms and separate laundry facilities.
In addition to accommodation at the Sport and Event Centre, we have two satellite accommodation options only a short 3 min drive away.
Overall we can sleep up to 230 people across three venues – everyone can stay on site with easy access to all facilities.
Catering for breakfast, lunch, dinner can be arranged via trusted, external providers.

Walter Dyer
Only a short 2min drive from campus, but still on Massey University land, Walter Dyer Hall sits within Moginie Village.
This accommodation building was a student hostel, refurbished mid 2018 but closed to students when Covid-19 came to our shores. Student numbers never returned, and this building was repurposed for external group accommodation.
Each floor has 24 single bedrooms, a communal lounge with a fully functional kitchen, allowing groups to be entirely self-sufficient.
If more than one group is booked at Walter Dyer, we ensure they are not sharing a floor with another booking.
Note: there is no accessible access after Level 1 (Ground floor)

Moginie Hall
Only a short 2min drive from campus, but still on Massey University land, Moginie Hall sits within Moginie Village.
This accommodation building was a student hostel, however student numbers are not quite as they once were. Therefore, this building has recently been repurposed for external group accommodation.
Across 2 floors, each floor with 3 wings of 12 single dorm style bedrooms per wing (36 rooms per floor.
Each floor has a common space/kitchen. These spaces are furnished with a couple of couches, dining furniture and a TV. The kitchen on each floor allow guests to be entirely self-sufficient, with a stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, and all cutlery and crockery.
The showers and toilets are separated for Male and Female use.
If more than one group is booked at Moginie Hall, we ensure they are not sharing a floor with another booking.
Note: there is no accessible access after Level 1 (Ground floor).
